Class Schedules

To be the best Vancouver acting school, an acting studio should offer a variety of affordable acting classes.

Our classes start at the beginning of each month and run month to month; intake is on-going.

This class is for late-teens to adults.  If you have heard the buzz, this is the class that is mainly suited for the working actor or keen beginner.  The Builder will change you as an actor no matter the level you are at and Deb works closely with such talents agent industry bigwig clients like: William Morris Endeavor Entertainment (WME), Creative Artists Agency (CAA), Anonymous Content, Don Buchwald and Associates, The Gersh Agency and  she works closely with the top agencies in Vancouver.  Students must be dedicated and ready to work, respectful and all egos must be checked at the door!

How does one begin to create a character? This intensive class is based upon character development, intent, engaging your scene partners, taking ‘risks’ and focuses on “substantiating everything said, every situation, and every person referred to in the text”. We are always “coming from somewhere and going to somewhere”. Also, students will learn about the “doings” in the text and “always being active”. Incorporating these techniques will give your character a full body of life!

Debra Podowski’s classes are clearly outlined and specifically taught. Students will be challenged and must be prepared to work and train hard. Most of her teachings are based on Uta Hagen’s techniques.
