This class is for late-teens to adults. Beginner or intermediate actors are welcome. Students must be dedicated and ready to work. How does one begin to create a character? This intensive class is based upon character development and focuses on "substantiating everything said, every situation, and every person referred to in the text". We are always "coming from somewhere and going to somewhere". Also, students will learn about the "doings" in the text and "always being active". Incorporating these techniques will give your character a full body of life!
Debra Podowski's classes are clearly outlined and specifically taught. Students will be challenged and must be prepared to work and train hard. Most of her teachings are based on Uta Hagen's techniques.
